Gaming Prototype PR Box

I designed and developed this turned-edge PR box during my internship year. Since the structure team had not previously worked on a turned-edge box, I took the lead in developing the concept and figuring out the construction approach.

The concept was inspired by the gaming industry’s tendency to use either dark, red-toned color palettes or softer pastel colors. I wanted to create something that felt fresh and different from the typical gaming aesthetic. To help guide the color direction, I looked through Reddit discussions to see what colors and styles gamers were interested in and noticed that green was a recurring preference.

Unfortunately, I was only able to produce a single prototype, and I did not have the opportunity to complete the interior inserts. Even so, the project gave me the opportunity to take ownership of a new structural format, research the target audience, and develop a concept outside of the typical visual language used for gaming products.
